Hugh Metcalfe is a pivotal British artist and all round protagonist of music, film and beyond.

For over 30 years Metcalfe has also been shooting films on Super 8, documenting every aspect of his life from birth to death and everything in between. His resultant body of film work (two week’s worth of film and counting) veers between hysterical catharsis, shocking provocation, mutant home movie, and achingly beautiful, quasi-structural cine poem.

We took part in the one off workshop (held in collaboration with No.w.here) which coincided with Metcalfe’s tour in the UK. We filmed Huw’s performance at Cafe Otto to document the experience of the workshop and showcase some of Huw’s unique films projected live.
