Artist collaborations…

A short film featuring the artist and painter Ewa Wilczynski. The piece is a collaboration of experimental ideas, a reaction to Wilczynski’s unique paintings and method of working. The scenes partition like abstract dream sequences which relate to ‘a thin place’ where horror and magic meet and diffuse into one another: the concept behind Wilczynski’s artworks.

The film was shot and captured using a variety of film media, both digital and analog. The Super 8mm reels were photo chemically hand processed at home in the kitchen to provide an additional alchemy to the project.

The film is currently featured in the Fashion & Arts pages of avenirmagazine.com and honeysucklemag.com.

EWA’s long anticipated debut large scale painting exhibition show ‘THROES’ will run on 18th February at the Senate Rooms, The Royal Academy of Arts.
